The CKL/CSE Seminar series continues on 22 October, bringing together researchers from Constructor Knowledge Labs (CKL), the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and the wider Constructor University community for scholarly dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration across research and practice.
The upcoming seminar, “From Nanodevices to Metasurfaces: Engineering the Hardware Behind Intelligent, Connected Systems,” will be delivered by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mojtaba Joodaki, Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Constructor University Bremen, specializing in nanoelectronics and high-frequency engineering.
Drawing on experience in both industrial R&D and academic research, the session will explore the physical and technological foundations of intelligent and connected systems, highlighting recent advances in nanoelectronic and nanophotonic devices, microwave circuits and sensors, metasurface-based energy harvesting and antenna technologies, and electromagnetic compatibility. Prof. Joodaki will present key developments and experimental prototypes, addressing emerging challenges at the intersection of hardware engineering and computer science.
No registration is required. Online participants can join via the link provided below, while on-site attendees are welcome to come directly to the venue.
The seminar will be particularly relevant to researchers and PhD students working in electrical engineering, computer science, nanoelectronics, wireless technologies, and related interdisciplinary fields, offering an opportunity to exchange ideas, explore shared research interests, and foster new collaborations.
